The KCRH 89.9 FM radio station is operated by the Mass Communications Department of Chabot College in Hayward, CA. 

KCRH is the only FM station licensed to the city of Hayward, CA and we also serve San Lorenzo, San Leandro, Castro Valley, and Union City. We play the latest hits, as well as news and sports.

 

We play today's best new music as well as yesterday's classics with a variety of specialty programs which cover the genres of: R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop, Latin, Oldies, Alternative, IndieRock, Reggae, Techno and Gospel.

KCRH 89.9 FM is an award winning broadcast radio station. Our staff is made up entirely of students who take what they have learned in the classroom and apply it on the air.

JOIN KCRH!

KCRH is the most fun and motivating place to be on campus. We are like a family. Many of the radio industry professionals you may know today are KCRH alumni. Many of our current students have been hired onto the teams of the biggest radio stations in the Bay Area.  

 

Every known Bay Area artist you can think of has been interviewed at our station. Iamsu!, Loverance, Mistah F.A.B., Rayven Justice and Ezale, to name a few. 

 

We are active in tons of events to help the community, local schools, venues, and more.

 

If you would like to contribute your skills or time to KCRH, feel free to reach out to us by dropping by the radio station, calling or emailing the Promotions email to the right. We are located in building 132 across from the cafeteria at Chabot College. 

 

If you are ready to take the next step, enroll in the Chabot College Mass Communications courses taught by Chad Mark Glen. MCOM 50 is a great class to get your feet wet at KCRH!
